“ 5/5, food was amazing and we had a great time. Everything was the best, from the environment to the food to the customer service. HIGHLY RECOMEND!!! ”
“ Came here for late night bites, around almost 3am and food was perfect and they were so quick-food was fresh and hot! Despite it being empty, it was clean and they had some good music on. I love the fact that there's late night comfort food without alcohol, it's just so perfect and family friendly. Outstanding service. ”
“ My son has been raving about this spot for a while. So, one day for lunch I gave it a try. On a Monday at lunch time I went to the food truck. No line. It took a good 30-40 mins for my order. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the El Pablo fries, spicy. They were definitely a 7/10. It wasn't spicy but the flavor didn't disappoint! The corn was fresh. The fries weren't soggy. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I would definitely go back again. The portions are good for 2 people. My daughter ate my leftovers cold. That should tell you how good it was. Try it out! ”
“ This review is for the food truck, but let's take the story from the top. I drove past the brick and mortar location many times- even tried to have lunch there once. Despite the green and yellow light from a corn themed neon sign saying "OPEN," they were closed. At lunch. On a Thursday. Don't get it twisted, dear reader: with my spidey senses on high alert, I made it my mission to pop (corn) this mystery. Months later, the call of corn came to me. I heard they had a food truck, and the chase was on. Located next to a busy gas station on Ford Road, I pulled into the lot of the adjacent medical center. The truck staff were welcoming and polite. We ordered, and they asked which vehicle we were in- they were going to bring it directly to us. That's what I call service! It came fairly quickly too, maybe a two radio song wait, and the food showed up, hot and poppin'! A quick 5 min drive home and the food was still piping, a quality I respect. We chose some of the most popular items, beginning with El Chapo, their take on elote. At $12, we were satisfied with the portion size; big portion for a big price. The packaging was smart for such a hot and heavy product. Spices, creamy crema, and a heavy snow of cotija spread across sweet kernels danced in indulgent harmony. All corn, no cob. Next up, a break from cream nation: a Kale Caesar salad. Loads of green kale came with grande shards of flavorful Parmesan. Whatever cheese supplier they're using is a cob among men! Keep them! Dressing was nice, the crushed pistachios were a cool addition, and everything about this salad was pretty solid. We also appreciated that the kale wasn't stem-y. It also came with two slices of toasted sour dough bread as croutons- very fun touch. Finally, the heavy hitter: El Pablo. I'm not gonna lie, at first, the thought of fried chicken on fries with grilled corn and spicy crema did not appeal to me. I was wrong for doubting their mastery of both kernel and cluck. Each ingredient was prepared expertly, and together, you get a savory, spicy, sweet, salty sensation. Everything just worked together in a super satisfying way. Now, the price tag on this was $17... to me, that's a little expensive. Was it fuego? Yes. I'll be back, corn on the corner, you mysterious corn wonder! ”
“ Really solid spot ofr lunch. I had the Crispy Cancun sandwich and it was top-notch. They put Tajin (or something similar on the fries) and it's delicious! It took a little while to get our food, so I suggest ordering ahead if you can. Also, their bathroom has the most impressive discotheque-style light display. It's honestly really cool! ”
“ This very cute spot on the corner. The smash burgers were very tasty. The customer service was on point. They actuality forgot my daughter's order, but accommodated us by giving us a free carrot cake, which was huge and delicious. Never had one that was warmed so the icing melted like an ice cream topping of cream cheese. So moist and delicious. ”
“ Just go! Wow this place really impressed me! Since this restaurant is what I would consider trendy I was worried about the food but the menu and other reviews were too good to pass up on. I am happy to say that this place blew our expectations out of the water. We ordered the el chapo and added hot Cheetos. And I've tried elote all over the country and this is top tier. Additionally we both got grilled cheese sandwiches. My fiancé was obsessed with his sujuk grilled cheese! The Nashville-chicken grilled cheese was so good as well! Tip: go the the bathroom. trust me. ”
“ Corn on the Corner is one of my favorite food trucks on the planet. They serve up the best elote I've tasted. The chicken, burgers, shrimp, desserts, lemonade are made to perfection also! Served up piping hot and with wonderful plate presentation, Corn on the Corner satisfies my craving every time. Located on Ford Road between Telegraph & Inkster- also open late! Brick and mortar coming soon! ”
